Therefore each of you must put off falsehood.

Seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. 　
心所憎惡的共有七樣，就是：高傲的眼，撒謊的舌，流無辜人血的手，圖謀惡計的心，飛跑行惡的腳，吐謊言的假見證，并弟兄中布散分争的人。－－《舊·箴》6：16－19

Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.

Has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman,
