姿勢型使動詞表明人的姿勢的變換或者物的位置的轉移，主要有sit／seat，stand，lie／lay，lean等。這類詞既可當不及物動詞、也可當具有使役性的及物動詞用，例如：

b．The child was seated at the table．

c．Father sat／seated the child at the table．

d．Father caused the child to sit at the table．

（父親讓孩子坐在桌子跟前。）

b．They stood the child against the wall．
