（4）過渡型動詞：

過渡型動詞表示由一種狀态向另一種狀态過渡的動作。這類動詞用于進行時态，不同于過程型動詞，不是強調過渡動作本身的過程，而是着重表明接近于過渡的完成狀态。這類動詞表示“出現”（appearance）、“消失”（disappearance）、“消亡”（perish）、“出發”（departure）、“抵達”（arrival）、“升起”（rise）、“落下”（fall）、“開始”（beginning）、“停止”（stoppage）等起始終止階段的概念。表示人或物“出現”概念的動詞有appear，make one's appearance，come out，emerge等，例如：
