(Letter of Congratulation)

(Congratulations on an Engagement)
                                               April 1, 2005
Dear Shelley,
I’ve heard the news of your engagement and hasten to congratulate you. That’s great news about you and Lenore! She’s a wonderful girl in every way, and I congratulate you on your good fortune.
Best wishes from me on your engagement. I hope you will have nothing but joy and happiness in your life together.
                                             Affectionately,
                                             Wang Jun

(Congratulations on Marriage)
                                              May 10, 2005
Dear Jerry and Anne,
We were excited and delighted to receive the announcement of your marriage last Friday.
Mr. Tang and I send you both our love, and best wishes for every happiness that life can bring.
We hope you’ll let us know when you return home, so that we can give you our congratulations in person.

Dear Harriet,
It doesn’t seem possible that it’s twenty-five years since you and Bob were married! Somehow I still think of you as a bride and groom. Maybe it’s because you’re just about the most devoted couple I know!
Congratulations to you both, and may the years ahead bring you continued joy and contentment.

(Congratulations on a Birthday)

                                                 April 8, 2005
Dear Jane,
You may not like to be reminded that you are a year older today — but that’s not going to keep me from saying “ Happy Birthday!”
 Let’s see…. Is it twenty-seven, or twenty-eight?
Anyway, my love to you on your birthday, Jane—and many, many happy returns of the day! Next time you come into town to do some shopping, call me and I’ll meet you for lunch. It’s been too long since we had one of our good old-fashioned chats!
                                              Cordially,
                                              Wang Ping
